Pre Primary - Ms Rachael Howe

We provide an inviting and encouraging environment for children to engage in learning. Every day begins with smiles and laughter. Children are involved in meaningful social interactions with adults and peers as they complete morning activities.
Throughout the day children are given opportunities to participate in a range of tasks. We use a combination of explicit teaching, guided instruction, free choice activities and rotational tasks to keep students moving, interacting and engaged in their learning. Children are given chances to be challenged and experience success.
You may hear us screeching like the seagulls from a story we are reading, see us stomping out the different sounds we can hear in words or view us creating artwork to express emotions we feel in different situations. We are always counting objects, making connections to the world around us and developing those very important skills such as resilience, perseverance, co-operation, tolerance and independence.
We have really enjoyed experiencing different events throughout the term. Our favourite was when we helped to ‘Clean Up Australia’ because we got to spend time with our friends whilst helping to keep our school environment clean.
